How come I can only define different contact subsets on one side of my (multiple) rule(s)?

HOW COME I CAN ONLY DEFINE DIFFERENT CONTACT SUBSETS ON ONE SIDE OF MY RULES?

Find out more information about Multiple Rules here.

When you sync between one app where you can't define different subsets or where you need authorization for each new subset (see * below), and one app where different subsets can be defined in one connection, multiple rules can still be set up but you are only able to differentiate subsets on one side, in each new rule.

Here below you see an example of a sync between multiple Insightly tags and one Campaign Monitor list.

MULTIPLE RULES ARE NOT APPLICABLE FOR THE FOLLOWING TWO LISTS OF APPS:

Apps where we only sync ‘All Contacts’ and therefore, no subsets:

For a couple of apps we support, we don’t offer the availability in the dashboard (yet), to filter and define subsets of your contact to sync with. Here below, you can find an overview of the apps where this is currently the case, the filter is “all contacts” by default.

Apps where each filter needs authorization, and therefore a new connection instead of a rule:

For another small portion of our connector apps, we need authorization for each new subset of your contacts. Therefore, you’ll need to set up a new connection for each subset rather than a rule. In those cases you need to already choose the subset in Step 2 of setting up a sync, where you authorize your apps. Here below, you can find an overview of the apps where this is currently the case.
