Pardot

GETTING STARTED GUIDE: How to set up a new connection?
ALL FEATURES EXPLAINED: All our features/functionality explained in detail - no app-specifics.

Pardot is a marketing automation tool for sales and marketing teams including email marketing, lead generation, lead management, and ROI reporting. Powerful insights will help you improve and understand your successes moving forward.

Supported Pardot Integrations

Authorizing Pardot

We ask your email, password, and API user key for access. You can find the API user key in the settings of your Pardot account.

If you already authorized your Pardot account(s) in the past or in any other PieSync integration, you'll be able to skip this step and choose from your CONNECTED ACCOUNTS.

[IF] Supported Conditions/Filters

You can choose to sync all leads captured in Pardot to your other app, or you can choose to limit this via a subset and a filter.
  • Owned by
  • Grade (A+ to F)
  • (not) Opted out
  • (not) Been reviewed
  • is (not) starred
  • Campaign (choose...)
  • Score (integer)
A common use case in Pardot is to have leads only sync through to another app as soon as they hit a specific stage

[THEN] Supported Actions

In the unlikely event that you should synchronize contacts into Pardot, you can choose to have an action be performed alongside the synchronization:

  • Star/Unstar
  • Update fields (including custom fields)

Default Field Mapping

By default, you will not see many fields that have been mapped, other than the Name & Email. These are mapped by default - you cannot change these. See below an example, showing a connection with Pipedrive.

PieSync syncs the default name field(s) that come with the apps. Sometimes they have a different structure in both apps you connect. E.g. first and last names are separate in app A (Pardot) and joint in a single field in app B. In the background, PieSync joins first and last names together from app A to B and separates them again from app B to A. Our algorithm is smart about which part it updates in app B.

Customizable Field Mapping

Because the default fields in Pardot are scarse, you can and should custom map your Pardot custom fields and any additional standard fields that aren't included in the default mapping yet.

Bear in mind a mapping between two fields can only exist if the types of fields are compatible. More information on Customizable Field Mapping here

Additional Options

Syncing Unsubscribes/Deletions

Currently, there are no Pardot integrations on the PieSync platform that support our deletions sync.

Our unsubscribe sync is supported, however.
When connecting Pardot with Google Contacts, your unsubscribed Pardot contacts will be synced to the 'PieSync_Unsubscribes' group in Google Contacts.

The availability of the feature to subscribe or sync deletions is app and connection dependent. We need to be able to detect deletions or unsubscribes on one side and at the same time be able to create add the tag 'PieSync Trash' or 'PieSync unsubscribe' on the other side.
More information on syncing deletions with other integrations, or on syncing unsubscribes.
Thanks to the feedback we have already received, we created a list of popular apps that we’re going to work on very soon. By voting them up in our pipeline, YOU decide which connectors we’ll release first. If you don’t see your app on the list or need any further help, drop us a line - support@piesync.com.
