PhoneBurner and ZohoCRM
Do you wish to integrate ZohoCRM with Phoneburner and not worry about data management? It’s easy and secure and there is no installation required.
Setting up Piesync:
In order to set up the PieSync make sure you have a PieSync account. You are able to sign up for free here. Once you are signed in, you need to select Phoneburner and ZohoCRM or click here to get started. You will be asked you authorize both business applications. Next, you can configure your connection and you start syncing.
This step-by-step guide will help you getting started.
Step 1: Choose your apps
After you login into PieSync for the first time, you will be prompted with an application directory overview. Select Phoneburner and ZohoCRM or click here to get started. If you have already created a connection before, simply click the “New connection” button on the top left of the page, Select Phoneburner and ZohoCRM.
Step:2 Authorize your apps
When you click 'Authorize PhoneBurner', a pop-up window appears asking you to log in and allow access. Finalize by choosing the account you wish to keep in sync.
If you have previously set up a connection with PhoneBurner, you do not need to authorize PhoneBurner again, unless you need a different account.
- To be able to connect to your Zoho CRM account, we need your ZohoCRM domain. This you can find in your browser and is either 'zoho.com' or 'zoho.eu'.
- You will be redirected to Zoho where you would need to login and accept PieSync.
If you have previously set up a connection with ZohoCRM, you do not need to authorize ZohoCRM again, unless you need a different account.
Step 3: Choose your contact type
After you have authorized both application, you would need to choose the contact type would you like to sync. Choose whether you want to sync Zoho Contacts or Zoho Leads . The availability to sync Leads depends on whether your app supports multiple contact entities (e.g. Salesforce, Copper, ZohoCRM,..).
If you want to sync multiple contact types, you can do this by setting up another connection with the same applications.
Step 4: Configure your sync
Next, you can configure your connection. You can either customize the settings accordingly or simply get started with the default all-to-all settings. We always recommend to tweak the integration to your needs.
By default, Piesync has the two way syncing mode. However, you can choose to move your data in one direction. To know more about the sync direction, please click here.
Piesync initially has two connection rules but you can always add more rules. Each rule fulfils the conditions of each side of the sync. PieSync looks at all the data stored on each side, so you can define exactly what data needs to move from one side to the other.
Through PieSync you can and you should tweak the sync so that not only contacts get synced, but you also respect the segmentation, tags, groups, folders, custom attributes, subscription status, ... of the apps that the contacts live in. In a PieSync rule, you can choose to add a filter and add actions to syncs. Similarly, you can add more filters and actions according to your needs. With the mix between the filters and the action you are able to make the sync of your choice.
(If) supported conditions/filters
(Then) Supported Actions
By default PieSync will only sync contacts with email address. You are able to turn off this setting but it's not recommended. More info on how this works can be found here.
Master App and Conflicts
PieSync also requires you to select a master application so that during the initial sync, conflicting changes can be resolved. This is important when syncing a contact for the first time so we can correctly match and merge data if it already exists. More info here.
ZohoCRM also has a Zoho Flow solution, if you want PieSync to trigger Zoho Flows when updating or creating data, you may enable this setting.
There are more fields in a contact than just a name and an email address. Field mapping allows you to share data between the right fields. There are many other attributes that can be carefully mapped with one another in a sync.
Default Field Mapping
PieSync will automatically map default fields as shown below. If you want to change this, you can perfectly do so. More info here.
Customizable field mapping
In many cases, the fields provided by the Piesync are not just enough. If you have custom fields in both PhoneBurner and ZohoCRM, you may need to add some extra field mappings. Just below default field mapping, you can find a “Add field mapping” option where you can add an unlimited amount of custom field mappings. More info here.
Step 5: Start Syncing Now
If you already use a built-in or third party integration between these two apps, please disable it before continuing. Otherwise, contacts could be duplicated!
It's also important that you remove duplicates before proceeding with the synchronization. This will prevent duplicates from being synced from one system to the other.
During the initial (first) sync, if you have a larger database size, it may take some time to sync. PieSync needs to load, scan and process all the contacts. Once it’s done, the sync will run every 5 minutes.
A detailed overview will help you to get an overview of your synced contacts as well as debug any contact dat failed to sync.
Piesync’s sync engine lets you have a real bi-directional between ZohoCRM and Phoneburner and other more than 180 apps in real time. Piesync removes the data gaps between sales, marketing and customer care such that you get the most out of your customer or lead data. Align audiences and stay in control of your data. It will constantly update both databases and update accordingly.
